February 9, 2016 - From its humble beginnings in Guy Lacasse’s family garage, Groupe Lacasse has grown into a North American leader in the design, manufacture and service of high-quality business and institutional furniture.
This year, Groupe Lacasse celebrates 60 years of trendsetting innovation.
The company is dedicating this year of celebration to its valued customers and employees. “Without them over the last 60 years, without their dedication, loyalty and friendship, our company would not be here to mark this important milestone,’’ says Sylvain Garneau, President and CEO.
It’s been quite a ride. Founded in 1956, Groupe Lacasse was by 1976 the single largest manufacturer of Singer sewing machine cabinets in Canada. In the 1980s, the company branched into thermofused laminate casegoods. Over the following three decades, it expanded its design and manufacturing capacity to meet a range of business and institutional needs across North America and become a leader in thermofused laminate solutions.
Sylvain Garneau does not hesitate to attribute the company’s long-term success to the passion, skill and talent of its 450 employees. He refers to these employees as “members” and the “heart and soul of Groupe Lacasse.”
“Their focus on understanding customer needs combined with their desire to impress our customers is remarkable. Their creative drive and agility keep us on trend, and their daily energy, knowledge and expertise keep us on top with award-winning products.”
In honor of the company’s 60th anniversary, Groupe Lacasse is unveiling a commemorative anniversary logo to be used on all its communications.
After 60 years, the company continues to move toward the future with unparalleled customer service, dedication to high-quality performance and a revamped website showcasing its impressive array of innovative business and institutional furniture solutions.
At 60 years old, Groupe Lacasse is more energized than ever and ready to greet many more years of success!
