Laboratory Technician

The laboratory technician is responsible for performing tests to validate product compliance with office furniture industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Mastering and respecting the regulations and standards in effect (ANSI/BIFMA, CGSB, etc.);
- Maintaining the ISO 17025 accreditation of the internal laboratory;
- Planning internal and external tests;
- Performing internal tests while respecting the regulations and maintaining the impartiality of results;
- Writing test reports;
- Applying ISO procedures associated to the laboratory;
- Formulating house testing procedures (if not applicable by regulations);
- Any other relevant tasks.
Requirements
- Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Science or technical training or any formation deemed relevant;
- Experience in a test laboratory;
- Bilingualism in both French and English, oral and written;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software;
- Knowledge of BIFMA standards and ISO 17025:2017, an asset;
- Great aptitude in the planning and organization of work,
- Team spirit, meticulous and manual.
