Laboratory Technician

The laboratory technician is responsible for performing tests to validate product compliance with office furniture industry standards.


  1. Mastering and respecting the regulations and standards in effect (ANSI/BIFMA, CGSB, etc.);
  2. Maintaining the ISO 17025 accreditation of the internal laboratory; 
  3. Planning internal and external tests; 
  4. Performing internal tests while respecting the regulations and maintaining the impartiality of results;
  5. Writing test reports;
  6. Applying ISO procedures associated to the laboratory;
  7. Formulating house testing procedures (if not applicable by regulations);
  8. Any other relevant tasks.



  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Science or technical training or any formation deemed relevant;
  • Experience in a test laboratory;
  • Bilingualism in both French and English, oral and written;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software;
  • Knowledge of BIFMA standards and ISO 17025:2017, an asset;
  • Great aptitude in the planning and organization of work, 
  • Team spirit, meticulous and manual.
