The Industrial Designer offers innovative and original ideas/solutions for furniture and accessories that meet the requirements of commercial, educational and healthcare environments. He/she participates in all phases of the product development process and works closely with members of the Marketing, Purchasing & Product Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Research, design, validation and development of new products;
  2. Updating and improving existing products;
  3. Selecting hardware, materials and finishes;
  4. Communicating ideas/solutions using sketches, 3D models, technical drawings, etc.;
  5. Participating in the development and construction of prototypes for validation purposes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing;
  • Bilingualism required, oral and written;
  • Interest and technical capabilities developed;
  • Autonomous with a collaborative spirit, sense of initiative and ingenuity;
  • Skills and knowledge in CAD and modeling (Inventor, Autocad, ...);
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office and Adobe suites;
  • Experience in eco-design (an asset).
